Where to stay for a South Asian wedding in the GTA

Why Brampton, and specifically Castlemore
Brampton hosts more large South Asian weddings than anywhere else in the region. The gurdwaras and banquet halls along Airport Road, Torbram and Queen Street East carry the calendar, and the estate streets of Castlemore sit in the middle of it — typically 10 to 20 minutes from the venues, on quiet residential roads, about 20 minutes from Pearson for the relatives flying in.
What a multi-day celebration actually needs
- Kitchens, plural. Aunties cooking, caterers staging, and chai at 6am cannot share one counter. Multiple kitchens change the week entirely.
- Bedrooms for the elders on a main level. Grandparents should not be climbing to a third floor at midnight after a reception.
- Separate living areas. The mehndi in one room, kids in another, someone resting in a third — all under one roof.

For families of thirty or more, the pattern that works is two homes rather than one impossible one — an estate for one side of the family and a second home nearby for the other, both within minutes of each other and the venue. Ask us about availability across homes for the same dates.
What to confirm before you book
- Gatherings. Celebrations for your registered group are welcome within capacity and quiet hours; anything larger needs written approval first.
- Vendors. Decorators and caterers can come in — agree the setup window in advance.
- Quiet hours. 10 PM to 7 AM, and no amplified outdoor music. The late celebration belongs at the hall.
- Arrival timing. Early check-in on day one, when the calendar allows, makes the whole week calmer.

Eight to twelve months ahead. A full week blocks the calendar for the home, so these dates go earliest — and families booking two homes for one wedding need even more runway.
Where do families stay for a Sikh or Hindu wedding in the GTA?
