This policy applies to every Canterra Stays booking and forms part of your booking terms with 16596461 Canada Inc. ("Canterra Stays"). It exists to keep guests safe and to comply with Ontario municipal short-term-rental and noise bylaws and the Ontario Fire Code.
Each home has a stated maximum overnight capacity ("sleeps N"). The number of people at the home — including daytime visitors — must not exceed that capacity at any time without our prior written approval. Itineraries and plans created in our workspaces show each home's capacity so you can plan within it.
Shared meals, celebrations and activities for your registered group are welcome. Parties, open-invite gatherings, ticketed events, and any gathering that exceeds the home's capacity are not permitted without prior written approval. Where approval is granted, additional conditions (including a damage deposit and proof of event liability insurance) may apply. AI-suggested and custom itinerary items are subject to this policy regardless of how they were created.
Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Amplified music outdoors is not permitted at any time. Municipal noise bylaws apply and fines issued by the municipality are the guest's responsibility.
Where a home has a pool or hot tub, there is no lifeguard on duty; use is entirely at your own risk. Children must be actively supervised by an adult at all times. Glass is not permitted in pool areas. Amenities may be closed seasonally or for safety.
Guests must keep exits clear, must not tamper with smoke or carbon-monoxide alarms, and must not exceed Fire Code occupancy. Open flame (including fireworks and sky lanterns) is prohibited. Smoking is not permitted inside any home.
The booking guest is responsible for the conduct of everyone they invite onto the property and for any damage, extraordinary cleaning, or bylaw fines arising from the stay. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canterra Stays is not liable for injuries or losses arising from guests' activities at the home, and the booking guest agrees to indemnify Canterra Stays against third-party claims arising from breaches of this policy.
Breach of this policy may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund, in accordance with your booking terms, and recovery of resulting costs.
