A furnished six-bedroom home in Malton, Mississauga, minutes from Toronto Pearson Airport, with a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom on each of its two levels and every utility included, leased by the year to one group of friends, colleagues or family. We lease it as one home to one group, never room by room.

The space

The home is on two levels, and each is a complete living space. The main floor has three bedrooms, the living and dining room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The lower level has three more bedrooms, its own living room, kitchen and bathroom, and a side door of its own, so two halves of a group can come and go without crossing.

Bedrooms

The primary bedroom, on the main floor, has a queen bed, two bedside tables, two lamps, a wardrobe and a dresser. The other two main-floor bedrooms each have a double bed, a bedside table, a lamp, a wardrobe, and a desk and chair. Each of the three lower-level bedrooms has two double beds, two bedside tables, two lamps and a wardrobe. Every bed has a mattress protector and a full bedding set: a duvet and cover, two pillows, and fitted and flat sheets. Every bedroom has a window covering, and a lock and key of its own.

Kitchens and dining

Each level has a full kitchen: a refrigerator, an electric stove and oven with a range hood, a microwave, a kettle and a toaster, with its own cookware set of pots, pans and baking trays, a knife set, and cutlery, dinnerware and glassware for eight. The main floor has a dining table with six chairs.

Living rooms

The main-floor living room has a three-seat sofa, a two-seat sofa, a coffee table, a 55-inch television on its stand, an area rug and window coverings. The lower-level living room has a sectional sofa, a coffee table, a 50-inch television on its stand and an area rug.

Bathrooms and laundry

There is a bathroom on each level, each with a shower curtain, a mirror, a bath mat and a wall cabinet. The laundry has a washer and a dryer, free to use, with a laundry basket, an iron and an ironing board.

Outside and around the house

Out back there is a patio table with four chairs. A garden hose, a snow shovel and a broom are provided, along with a vacuum cleaner and garbage, recycling and organics bins. There are three smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms outside the sleeping areas on each level, and a fire extinguisher in each kitchen. Three driveway parking spaces are included in the rent.

The lease at a glance

Tenancy

Weekly, Monday to Sunday, on Ontario's standard lease. You do not have to move out at the end of a term.

Rent is due

Every Monday, in advance. Pay the way that suits you: card, Interac e-Transfer, bank transfer, PayPal, Payoneer, WeChat Pay or Alipay, or have your company pay us directly. You get a receipt every time.

Rent deposit

One week's rent, applied to your last week. Interest is paid on it every year, as Ontario requires.

Key deposit

CA$200, refundable: two front door keys, two side door keys, a key for every bedroom door and two mailbox keys

Moving in

A joint inspection with the host team: every furnishing and appliance in the lease is checked with you, item by item.

Tenant's liability insurance is required. Contents insurance is your choice. The rent and dates of your lease are confirmed when the home becomes available.

Where you'll be

Malton is the Mississauga neighbourhood beside Toronto Pearson Airport. Highway 427 is close by, Malton GO station connects to downtown Toronto, and Claireville Conservation Area is a few minutes away when you want trees instead of runways.

From first message to moving in

1. Ask. Tell us who is coming, from when, and for how long. Two minutes.
2. Talk it through. The host team replies by email with the homes and dates that fit, and answers your questions. Usually within one business day.
3. Apply. One application for the whole group, and we confirm who will be paying. A day or two.
4. Sign. A stay agreement for an Extended Stay, or Ontario's standard lease for a Residence, signed on paper or electronically. Once the details are agreed.
5. Move in. The keys are ready and the utilities are already running. For a Residence we walk through the home with you, item by item. On your start date.
